I've been told that I'm a heartless SOB, but one of the many things that completely escapes me is the concept of blowing enough cash for a downpayment on a house for a party that lasts one afternoon. $20 for a license, slip the preacher a $50 and call it good. Anybody wants to party afterwards, make it pot-luck and BYOB.
