Using a propane torch is a trick utilized by some today, in the cold climates. Preheat the intake manifold with a torch directed into and around an open port into the manifold- when things get warm, start turning over the tractor, which quickly "sucks out" the flame on the torch- but continue to direct the unlit torch at the hole, and the propane makes a dandy starting fluid. At least so I've heard- never having tried it. See disclaimer below- I take no responsibility for the safety, utility or appropriateness to purpose of the above described method. A much safer method is to park the tractor on a trailer before shutting down, then hauling it to a licensed repair facility for morning starting. An even safer course of action is to sell the tractor, auction your livestock, and move to a nursing home, where you can pursue the safe and innocuous practice of sitting in front of a television set and watching your arteries clog.
