Friend of mine bought one at an auction. We all thought he was nuts. That winter we had two storms back to back, snow everywhere on top of a days freezing rain. Watched him side drag a jack-knifed semi out of the ditch and back onto the interstate. He was 150 ft off road through snow in corn stubble. Never slipped a tire. Guess he's not so nuts.
Mercedes builds a good truck. Lots of attachments available from blades and blowers to backhoes and loaders. Parts available, too.
Some military unimogs available from Switzerland, being imported through Arkansas, I think.
Search "unimog" on net, lots of sites.
I want one.
