I love my 1985 Troy-build Horse, has the Kohler 8 engine. Service sucks but it has only been to the shop 1 time in 27 years.

Personally I'd stay away from the little JD's, I've seen too many of them broken (front end on FWD's with loaders especially).

Look at a Massy 35 or 135?
Other than that it's hard to beat the Kubotas. They are one tough little machine available in a wide range of sizes.
