Don't go the Troy-Built route. Be a REAL MAN and get a nice 9N or 8N. I love my '51 8N. It will take care of more than an acre. Heck, you might even be able to do some custom mowing for people if you get a good finish mower. That is my next step. Around me we have 5 acre lots and some get to growing a bit in the front. An 8N should go for around $1500 or so, are easy to fix and work and work. They start in cold weather and work hard in the hot season. I think the value of the machine will go up. Heck, they are still about the same price now as they were 50 years ago.
