It's the same transmission then a 454,574 and H 84.The transmission have two range, low for work and high for travel. The neutral is for towing or testing.Check the Foot and inch valve ,for broken spring or bad sealing valve. You can plug reliefs valves and test,if ok,the trouble is external(drive control valve or foot and inch) if not it is internal.Did you check the charge and servo pressure? Check at 2300 r.p.m.The charge pressure may be 145 p.s.i and servo pressure 235 p.s.i. Then check with the range at neutral and engage forward, the charge do not drop below 80 psi,and servo 215 psi.if it does,it may leak on O rings, servo cylindres or sealings plates on the side of the center section or bad charge pump. It's a major repair.
