Much the same thing happened to me, but using bondo of all things.The deception was intentional because it had been sanded & painted.It took several months for the makesift repair to fail so I had no recoarse.I bit the bullet,found a parts tractor with a good block&and did the best I could to build a deceant machine.The good part is I now have a stong tractor that has served me well and repaid what I have invested.My heart is with you,try and get that block&get on with the joy of building your self that tractor you want. lol Al
