Well, I started that thread and had NO intention of dissing JD. I have JD tractors and implements and LOVE them. And in defense of JD, they have been very successful getting me parts for an old tractor. I'm kinda "used to" paying mind blowing prices, you see I just rebuilt an 830 from stem to stern. The thing that really got to me was: you and I both know that is a fifty cent part; and you and I are both willing to pay ten or fifteen times what it is worth, to have it when we need it. But, when the markup is exponential instead of factors of ten or fifteen, it borders on ludicrise. I am truley sorry to have opened the pandora's box of the color war. I was just venting on the price of parts. Imagine if you will a farmer, trying to make a living and being hosed down every time he needs to repair his equipment.
