The draft is used when you pull an implement such as a plow to keep the same pressure on the tractor. This is done by adjusting the depth of the plowing you want to do and the draft keeps the same pressure on the tracotr by lifting the plow when you get in harder soil so the tractor won't spin and you won't have to manually lift the plow to keep from spinning. It also works on 3 point disk, subsoiler, cultivator, about any thing that you use in the ground.
