Some of the answers depend on the type & personality of your tractor. Some start & run fine at very cold temps, others need some additives when it gets near freezing. On one of mine, the tank for the tank heater is directly below the fuel filter. This keeps the filter warmed a bit, and it works pretty well in cold temps on regular diesel. You could find 5 gallons of #1 and add that. You could buy an additive and use that (PS Power Service is a very, very common brand here in Minnesota, I'm sure there are others). Keep your fuel filter up to date, as that is often where the problems start. Summer diesel will start to jell somewhere in the 20's F. Depends on your tractor when you will actually have problems. --->Paul
