Briggs & S doesn't make the 3 cyclinder engine, it's made in Japan by Diahatsu. (sp?) (both gas and diesel) Not that makes much difference, as it's a good engine.
For 9K i think i'd have to buy a Kubota or one of the other compact tractors with 4 wheel drive and a real 3 point. They "are" much more tractor for similiar $$ and have a much better resale if and when you want to get rid of it. They will do a lot more work too.
The Simplicity may be a good tractor, but for that much $$ you can get even more tractor.
