As the last post stated, you need to check the MCV/Steering pump unit on the left side. It provides oil to the brakes, T/A and steering with steering getting the priority and is possibly getting weak enough that it can't prime itself when the oil is thick. SDMAn over on RPM gave me the specs for testing it, here they are: the spec for the pump is 9 GPM at 2000 psi at 2400 engine RPM. The port is underneath the sending unit located at the rear of the MCV valve. It takes a 5/8" wrench to remove the plug. Once the plug is removed, there is a small orifice that must be removed in the port. It takes a "homemade tool" to remove it.
