Interesting discussion about the car trailers from the rental joints. I called the local Ryder place about renting their car trailer and they told me, "Sure, we'll rent you the trailer, but you have to rent our truck to pull it. We don't allow people to pull it with their own vehicles." Local U-Haul has a not-so-good reputation when it comes to their equipment, so we found someone who did our hauling for us. $100 for 200-mile round trip.
