Jasper, there are 2 post on that generator, but It is good that you ask which wire goes to which post, as getting them reversed would not be good. If you clean the area around the terminals on the generator, you will find that one post has an (A) next to it and the other has an (F) beside it. Trace the 2 wires back to the regulator. One of the terminals on the regulator has an (F) on it. Match (F) to (F) and the other one will have to be correct. It is connected to a terminal marked with either an (A) or (GEN).
