Then you must not have lost much oil or the diff. was overfull to begin with. Incidentally, an overfull condition sometimes occurs when water finds it's way into the housings, settles to the bottom, thus raising the level of the oil. The "quick and dirty" method of removing most of this water is by unscrewing the drain plugs and letting the water out, quickly reinserting the plug when oil begins to flow. Of course, the tractor has to have set for awhile to assure that most of the water has settled to the bottom. That wouldn't work on an unshedded tractor here in upstate NY right now as the water is presently all "hard" water.
