I've used the tarp and plywood temp shelters. I like the plywood and couple screwed 2x4" to tack them together with a tarp top. I saved the plywood and a few years down the road I had to buy another couple sheets to once again make a temp lean too. The plywood comes in handy for other projects. It builds very fast.

All tarp lean too's seam to always blow down just when you don't want them too. Plywood will not do that as easy.

A roll of R19 is cheap and works good for pluging holes on odd shapes.
