The manifold on my 51 8N is held on by 3 studs w/ non-brass nuts.......and one bolt. Looks like some one broke the stud, drilled it out, then tried to put a bolt in it. Well, it didn't leak water until I went to tighten the manifold nuts while looking for an exaust leak. Is stud replacement a back-yard job, or had I best take it to the shop? I've never done it, assume that one or more of the other 3 will break, and really don't want to turn a problem into a major event like a cracked block! Suggestions?
