I have talked with people that had them in oilfield fleet use. They got acceptable life out of them, but they found frequent oil changes were critical to engine health. They used Chevron Delo 400 15W 40, changed at 3500 miles I think. They had Dodges wirh Cummins before, found out the hard way they could not use and service the Chevy like they had the Dodge. I think they are OK engines, just not as HD as the Cummins or Navistar.
