some of the housings are drilled a little deeper and acutally come thru the other side. you can punch the pin backward with a drift. most guys soak the pin and heat with a torch, then repeat, etc. you can also drill the pin with a 5/16 hole, then tap with a 3/8 coarse thread tap, screw in a bolt and use it as a puller. the pin is the hard part, sometimes takes several hours to emove. wire brush good and put antisieze all over during reassembly. oh yea, there is a c-clip on the inside next to the shoe that surrounds the pin, make sure it is pulled off first. clean out the mouse next and mud dobbers before you pull on the shoes. they will come out if you pull hard enough.
