And the big guys aren't doing very well, either - lots of missed & forgiven payments along the way... All of agriculture is kind of a house of cards these days, ready to collapse upon itself. Marketing is a whole nother can of worms. Many livestock farms are going to contracts, most all poultry is, more than 1/2 pork is, dairy is headed that way. Grain crops are often held on to by the farmer, and we all have different ideas on pre-selling, post-selling, hedging, & puts & options.... Well, there are ways to contract the grains, but many don't. Most canning crops are totally contracted. --->Paul
