An interesting comment about driving into the wind and it's effect on temperature. We debated this at work one winter day when the temperature was about -25C. After work we drove out on the highway with a thermometer sticking out of the window and suprisingly it had no effect on the air temperature recorded by the thermometer. Eventually we checked with some guy that was some sort of a physicist or meteorologist type and he said that the only effect that wind (or driving through air) has is that it will remove the heat more rapidly but the end temperature will not drop. I guess that's why it's harder to warm your car up when driving than when idling or why flesh freezes quicker in a wind, etc. Interesting for sure. All I know is that it's fairly cold here right now but it feels OK since there's no wind.
