The reason that they don't put those clean outs on mowers any more is that bearings don't last that long. Any of you guys that live in poison ivy/oak country don't want to be fooling with the underside of a hog/mower. You'll be shipped to a leper colony!

Here's what I do. Nothing! Keep her greased up and blades sharp and don't worry about the underside.
