Hi Tim,

Sure it can be welded. The key to this repair is stress releiving before and after the welding. Is the bolster designed weak? or you just over loading? You might also have him beef it up if your pushing to much weight.

Since your taking it to a professional I won't explain the ends and outs of the weld repair.
