I'm no expert or even a novice, I've never built a OTR trailer. I bought a trailer with tandem mobile home axles though.I only haul about 5 tons max. It is dependable and used, mounted tires cost $25 each, from a local mobile home sales lot; it's true they don't last long. They return the axles for reuse but not the tires, so I've got a steady source.
