What the??????

At work today I was telling someone how I have been cutting brush and small trees trying to reclaim an old potato field. "Things are going good", I say, "but I'm having a hard time to get all the stumps real low. Nothing big (4" to 6") but it'll be hard to brushhog around them till they rot". Well just then we pass a tractor in a field with some sort of single ripper blade attached to the three point. Looks like this would be a great rig for pulling small stumps. What was it? Or was it home made? would it work for this? Thanks in advance.
