I bought a tractor from a guy in Missouri- it took me 6 mos. to find a reasonable hauler (that is, someone who will haul a tractor halfway across the country for almost nothing!) The battery on the tractor had expired in the meantime, and when the hauler showed up, he told the guy he couldn't haul it unless it would start, because he would have to rearrange the semi load as he went across the country. The seller took the new Walmart battery out of his pickup and put it on the tractor! He then wrote me a letter and said he knew it wasn't part of the deal, but he would sure appreciate it if I could send him 50 bucks for the battery. Needless to say, I got a check in the mail immediately. There's still some good guys around!
