sludged up engine

I bought an old Oliver 7300 combine in the early summer and used it to harvest a little wheat. It had sat about 20 years before i got it but was running when i bought it. After harvest i changed the oil and at first none even came out. I out some kerosene in it and idled it and then drained again. A thick sludgy mess came out. I filled it once again with kerosene and idled it and drained again and this time it came out much cleaner. I then changed the filter and refilled with oil. Now I am getting ready to harvest beans and am curious as to what to do. I was thinking of putting in some marvel's mystery oil and running it and then changing the oil after harvest. Is this a good idea or will it stir up too much gunk and clog up something? What do you think is the best thing to do? Thanks a lot.
