Horses vs Tractor numbers on American Farms from 1910-1945

Saw an interesting statistic in an old tractor book here for US farms. In 1910, there were about 24 million horses and one thousand tractors on farms in the US. By 1945 after the war, there were about 12 million horses and 2 1/2 million tractors. Sort of an interesting bit of history for trivia buffs. I'd be interested in knowing what the numbers were today ... with the big farms, probably a lot less tractors than you might think.
