Two Hay-Loading Deaths This Week Up Here ... Be Careful !!

Sadly, a couple of local area farmers have been killed in the last few days up in this area. Both were involved with loading the big hay bales. In the first case, the accident occured after the bales were on a trailer and the fellow was either securing or removing a strap from the load when one or more bales rolled off on him. Then a few days later another fellow had a big bale on some sort of front end loader and the bale rolled backwards pinning him to the seat of his tractor. In both cases their children were present at the time. Boy, sure makes a guy sit up and take notice. For those of you active in your farm routines, maybe be a little extra careful.
