sleeve sealer

I'm re-sleeving my 54 FMD. The sleeves are to be sealed at the bottom with an O-ring. The archives have a lot of talk about a fiberglass sealer for the top of the sleeve. does anyone know a brand? I'm not sure what to ask for at the parts store. Also, what do you guys recommend for an engine assembly lube (rod bearings)??
