diesel fuel has 40000 more btu's per gallon than lpg.i used to pump water with lpg at about 3 gallons per hour,i now use diesel and use a little over 1 gallon per hour.at 69 cents for lpg and 85 cents for diesel,i'll stick with diesel.you get a bigger bang for your buck with diesel
