Gibson D tractor

I have just ran across and purchased a Gibson D serial # on frame is D9339 With a AEH Wisc.#706936 What is diffrent about this tractor being a D is it has been Modified with a steering wheel like a SuperD and instead of a gear shift it has two levers which operate the tractor the gas tank is not the original one. When I bought it it would not run. Had it running in less than 5 days. already rode it around the yard its a gem. But if anyone have any ideas about what has been done I would be very interested. Also it has a hood top flat with what looks like factory cut-outs for the two gear levers. Please help with any info on this find of a gem........
