I don't know if I am going to be any help, but here goes.....I have a '97 2016, It has the automotive type rearend and gear reduction boxes......If you are handy with tools, I would think you could change out the whole unit........pull the old unit out place the new unit in......Do they have a drive shaft? Are the connections different ? Differen't length drive shaft needed ?.....Cut the pieces out you need and weld them to geather.....I can only guess, I can't see them.....good luck.
