Actually, the float height adjustment is not near as critical as the other needle settings. MS tells you set the height from a dimension off the parting plane. This is done with a hand held scale. On the other hand, the needles have extremely fine threads that move only in thousands of an inch per revolution and so meter the air/fuel.
