This is my two cents We have a AC WD we have ran it for years with unleaded with no proublem untill the last few years. Also a NH 1469 haybine with VG4D engine. Last year it started making a cliking noise in the engine (the VG4D). A local machinery machanic Sugested we try a quart of trany fluid in the gas as the valves might be sticking and this could lossen them. Said the trany fluid would work best. Well we only use the WD for ocasional raking and hulling in hay and it ran purfect untill I refuled (I put oil in the gas and carb wen i put it away for winter to avoid corosion in the carb) then it started to buck and skip and just run real bad. So I added some tractor trany fulid to the gas and withen 5 minutes it was runing just like a top. Float stuck and drained the gas out and I refuiled it and one time around the field and right back to skiping a little TTF and and it went right back to runing good. Don't know if that is what is wrong with it but I know it works for us.
