I fill them,before putting them back on, to plug level, I know there will be enough, and it saves having to pump or funel oil into them when they are on the final drive.

If you want to do your tractor a good thing you will change all fluids, many don't for years and they can get weird. The advise in the previous post was right on about the transmission and water in it. Keep a good boot on the shift lever. If you want to drain it there are three plugs, one on the PTO as mentioned, one under the differential, and one under the transmission on a sheetmetal plate above the drawbar attachment mechinism. And there are two filler plugs both on the left side of the transmission as described. And the drain for the hydraullic system is forward of the PTO.
