We have one on our '49 JD B. Seems to be a sturdy loader. We have moved stones with ours which are easily over your 900#. You will want to add an extra oil reservoir, as the twin cylinders will most likely exceed the reserve capacity of your system. The loaders were setup to fit numerous different tractors, depending on different mounts for specific applications. What little paint remains on ours looks like bright red, like a Farmall red. When we get through refubishing the tractor, we're planning on repainting the loader that color.
