There is no practical advantage to converting to/or from negative ground. The reason for positive ground vehicles I'm told is: electrons move from neg. to pos., and this movement caused a very slow corrosion/weakening of the frame and metal body parts in neg. ground setups, and the pos. ground nullified this action. I've no idea if this is true or not, it's just what I was told many (about 50) years ago. Unless your intend to show your tractor let your own desires rule.
