First of all your just a motor head! Anyone who
talks like you do loves motors. I'm the same way.
I only got into tractors in the last three months.
There is a lake around where I live that has gone
down immensly in the last year. People boat on
this lake a lot in the summer. Because the lake
is so low there is only one or two spots to
launch a boat. People who live around the
lake use there tractors to launch there boats
where there is no ramp. Thus the need for a
tractor. I saw a fellow who had a very nice Farmall H. He used it strickly to put the boat
in and out of the water and to get people unstuck. I need to do the same.
I have become very interested in the Farmalls.
I had a uncle who had two, years ago. He still
has one that sits around rusting away.
As I have watched this site I have noticed that
Farmalls are quite desireable. THey seem to come and go very quickly on the site when for sale.
I am amazed how many Deeres there are. Problably half of the tractors list for sale are Deeres.
I think your right about the market being at the
top of its climb. I don't know how long it will last. That will depend on peoples perception
of whats going on in the economy and how much
desposeable income they have.
I would be interest to see how many of these tractors sold on this site are actualy used to do farm work, tractor pulling or just show. I think that would give you a better idea of why people are buying them.
