Had the exact same issue on a 49 A. Starter rusted so bad I had to beat it out. I did the penetrating oil trick then worked the back side of the starter up and down til she came loose. The starter does fit tight but will go to the right of the tractor as it comes out. Might even need a 2x4 to hit a hammer on to move it some.
