I have about the same amount of acreage on a small horse farm here in WI. I use my John Deere 2440 for field work and snow removal. It has a fel and a eight foot box on the back which comes in handy and also puts extra weight on the rear. I also have fluid in the tires. I have had no problems with traction in the snow on a paved driveway, but the area is mostly level. I know the size of the tractor is a litte "over kill" but I am happy with it and enjoy using it. If you buy a quality tractor and take care of it you will have no problem getting your money back out of it. Good luck with your search, and let us know what you end up buying.
