Hi Hope everyone is doing ok. I have a 782 Cub cadet with KT17 engine. I cannot get the engine to charge at all. For some reason when I turn on the key the amp guage shows a current draw of 30 amps. This only happens when I connect the wire that comes from the middle post of the voltage regulator to the switch, If i dont connect it I get no guage movement at all. The stator show 30-40 volts of AC current when the engine is running. All of the wires check out ok and battert is good. I am not sure what it is. The regulator is also good, I have swaped out regulators off another cub cadet shows good on that one but I don't get anything on the 782 cub. Some one today told me that it shounds like something was not changing the current to ac to dc, which is the same thing that I said. I am not sure what the heck it is. On the regulator the outer posts has AC written on it so that is where I connected the wires from the stator to. I connected the wire that goes back to the switch to the middle post whitch has battery written on it. I have run out of ideas. The only thing I can think of would be the regulator but I know it is good because I can put it on the other mower and it shows up good. Does anyone have any suggestions or hints? Thanks for taking the time to read this long post.

Joey
