This may an Auto-Lite TC or two charge system Bob M has it described pretty well. The fuse is in the field circut,about 3 amp.The voltage relay is on or off. Points closed, full field current. Voltage & battery comes up points open and rest. is in field. This is not a vibrating control. The max. current is controled by three brush gen. A.L. also made a two unit vibrating control,but I dont think it had a fuse. D.R. also used the same idea, called it step voltage control. From the 1930s & 40s
