I suggest a John Deere model 50. They are small. They are easy to work on. They have the classic JD layout. They can have power steering, live pto, live hydraulics and can have 3 point with either an aftermarket hitch or an original JD 800 series hitch. They are much nicer than a "B" IMO, and are also much rarer. The following JD 520 and 530 are much more popular with collectors and command much higher prices, but a 50 is a very, very nice piece and will likely appreciate in value. I have a 70, which is a bigger version, and it is wonderful to operate and still very useful. Look for a 50 with the "split pedestal" and a wide front end.
