Morning all. I have been pondering a loader project for some time but have dragged my feet. I finally picked up a set of cad plans to build a 36 inch bucket loader for moving top soil around and the like round the yard. I have been trying to determine what tractor is best suited for this task. I was leaning towards a hydro drive due to ease for FWD and REV. I have a simplicity 7116 Hydro that I mow the lawn with but is tired. I was thinking of making that the doner when I find a newer mower (upgrade from the 60 something model to the 70 something model). Is the simplicity built tough enough? IS a gear drive better to use than hydro? WHat about traction control? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for what ever info you may have!
