John, is that you? Our Taler friend? I have never bought a tractor through the photo ads. I would just say, be cautious. What I have done is make a trade, sight unseen over the internet. In my case, the other fellow was taking the most risk. He trailered his tractor all the way here to NH from Long Island on my word alone. I told him everything I knew about my tractor and he answered all my questions about his. As far as I know, he is happy with his "new" 300 U and I am definitely happy with my '48 M. My brother is leaving next week for Minnesota to pick up a Case LA, sight unseen. I guess since we haven't been burned yet, we're still trusting and expecting the people we're dealing with to be honest. Good luck to you.
