"never heard of a tree falling on someone walking by or not doing something to the tree" Trees fall all the time, and without fail, they land on something. Had one just miss me as I was walking by when it fell a few years ago. "I never heard of a tractor starting by itself and running over someone sitting in the yard, etc" A magneto equipped tractor most certainly can start itself if it starts to roll on a hill, turning the engine over. Doubly so if the engine is already warm. Triumphs also could, and routinely did, start by themselves when the oil pressure sending unit would fail, grounding the starter solenoid. A well documented problem, and far from uncommon. "POINT: If you do it, it's your responsibility." No one has suggested abdicating responsibility.
