IH tractors of that vintage did not have 3 point hitches so if your Bush Hog requires a 3 pt you will have to add one. Many people on this site have recommended the Saginaw 3 pt as a good add on model but I can't personally recommend it since I have never used one. If your Bush Hog is a trailer model attaching it is easy. Simply back your tractor to the hitch, drop a pin in to hook it to your drawbar, then slide the pto shaft onto the splined shaft at the back of your tractor, attached the protective shield if it is equipped with one, and you are ready to go to the field.
