The "tractor fluid" is a more premium line over regular hydraulic, pretty much it has an anti-foaming additive that makes it suitable for use in powershift transmissions but also works well in the hydraulic system, I have never ran into any trouble using generic tractor fluid but I have heard of instances where it didn't work well.
