Yes, Scott's link is to the web page I did that showed the progress of my Caddigger as I built it. I got the steel kit from Metkit for about $1800 (It think); that was the main expense. I had about $2000 in it. You could probably built it cheaper from scratch, if you have the tools to cut fairly precise 2" diameter holes. As you can see from the web page, mine is a 708 3ph mounted hoe. I have no experience with the self-powered units, but the 708 has been very useful. It works faster and smoother than I thought it would, and as for power...well sometimes it amazes me and sometimes it disappoints me. I figured when I built it that at the worst I could sell it for what I have in it; I don't believe I'd let it go anytime soon. Bill
